- Three raising awareness sessions were organized in Tikrit, Samarra and Al - Alam. 107 participants took part in these sessions. Participants were educated on the importance of forming popular committees. Then, the names of volunteers who were willing to be involved to these committees were registered. They were from civil society organizations, media, Mukhtars and youth volunteers.
- Four workshops were organized for two days. 74 volunteers were trained on “The Mechanisms of Communications among the Popular Committees” as well as training the participants on “Types of Communication” that should be achieved between the community, the community police and the security forces. During the workshop, popular committees were established as well as communication mechanisms were determined and all the participants agreed to implement voluntary programs.
