Building Confidence through Dialogue between Security Forces and Society

Three
focus group sessions were held in Mosul, Tal’Afar and Bartla. In each
session, 15 participants took part, and they were from the power movers in the
society and commanders of the security forces in the three regions. The
discussion was about the problems experienced by the community to communicate
with the security forces and to clarify the ways to increase trust between
the two parties.
- Three
sessions were conducted in Mosul, Tal’Afar and Bartla. 240 power mover
figures from those areas participated in these sessions. The discussion
concentrated on the importance of increasing the rapports between security
forces and the society and what are the reasons of non-cooperation of the
society with the security forces.
- Fifteen
lectures were organized on the role of society in cooperation with the
security forces in achieving the stability of society and the role of youth
in supporting security through communication with the security forces and the
community police in Ninawa.
