Hussein Anwar is a member of the Administrative Board and a specialist in Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) and psychosocial support programs. He brings professional and voluntary experience since 2012 in community and humanitarian work, particularly within conflict-affected and socially complex environments. He holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, providing him with a strong academic foundation in understanding human behavior, psychological impact mechanisms, and evidence-based supportive and therapeutic interventions.

His role focuses on developing and guiding programs that address the root causes of violent extremism from a psychosocial perspective. He designs interventions aimed at strengthening social cohesion, rebuilding trust, supporting vulnerable groups, and addressing trauma-related psychological impacts resulting from conflict. He also contributes to establishing early intervention frameworks, managing individual cases, and developing sustainable psychosocial support plans grounded in a rights-based and gender-sensitive approach.

Hussein has international experience in implementing psychosocial support and community reintegration programs. He supports capacity-building efforts for field teams through training and technical supervision, and contributes to the development of operational guidelines and assessment tools to ensure program quality and measurable impact. He also possesses analytical skills in research methodologies and statistical analysis to support evidence-based programmatic decisions.
