Expert in Peacebuilding and Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE)

Fadi Abi Allam is an international trainer and expert in conflict resolution, preventing violent extremism, nonviolence, and peacebuilding, with over three decades of regional and international experience. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Lebanese University, along with academic backgrounds in international affairs and economics, providing him with a deep understanding of the political and social dimensions of conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa region.

He has delivered more than 4,280 training hours across multiple countries in the region, including Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Yemen, Sudan, Turkey, Morocco, and Algeria. He has trained governmental institutions, civil society organizations, youth leaders, and community stakeholders on mediation, reconciliation, participatory leadership, transitional justice, social cohesion, and preventing violent extremism.

Fadi has served as the Executive Director of the Permanent Peace Movement in Lebanon since 1991, where he leads the strategic vision, oversees program implementation, builds international alliances, and represents the organization before official authorities and global platforms. Since 2007, he has been serving as an Advisor to the Iraqi Institution for Development (IID), providing technical and strategic support in designing peacebuilding and PVE programs, developing training curricula, strengthening local capacities, and contributing to regional strategy development and international partnership building.

Fadi Abi Allam combines deep academic expertise, extensive field experience, and advanced training capacity, making him one of the region’s leading experts in peacebuilding and conflict prevention, while strengthening IID’s strategic and international positioning through his advisory role.
